Samir Naik and Amal Amin are not newcomers to the world of entrepreneurship but opening a bar was a first for the life long friends. Born and raised in East Central Illinois, we set our sights for a location in Champaign. Our goal was to create an environment that beer lovers, whiskey lovers and the entire community could come together to enjoy.
That’s how the name Collective Pour was born.
Planning for our dream bar started back in 2014 as we carefully picked over sites all across Champaign. We set our sights on the 99 year old building called the Overland at 340 N. Neil St. in downtown Champaign. The space was created in 1919 as the Overland Cadillac dealership and has continued to change since. Renovation work started in January 2018 to transform the space into the vision that we had. Collective Pour opened up its doors on October 5, 2018 with our 60 taps, spirits, and great food.
If you’re looking for a fun, low key, relaxing environment with a great selection of local regional beers, craft cocktails, and delicious bites, Collective Pour is your place. We continue to focus on small craft breweries from all throughout the state and we are personally picking up beer.
We have 60 beers on tap from from local breweries found throughout the region. Our beer selection is constantly rotating to feature new beers. Our cocktail list is a great showcase of how we can transform different spirits into a handcrafted cocktail. If you’re a whiskey drinker our growing list of whiskies is aimed to please the pickiest palates.
Don’t worry if you’re hungry, our food menu has simple delicious items that are carefully selected to compliment our beverage menu.
Supporting our local community is very important to us. We work with many organizations and can host or be a part of any private parties, special events or fundraisers you are doing. Please reach out to us so we can help with your next event!
